FAQs

Is the Boiler Upgrade Scheme still available in 2026?

Yes. The UK government’s Boiler Upgrade Scheme currently offers a £7,500 grant toward eligible air source heat pump installations in England and Wales which is rising to £9,000 for homes on oil or LPG. The grant must be applied for through an approved installer and eligibility rules apply. In Scotland the HES Grant can provide even more funding. All details are in the 2026 Heat Pump Guide.

How much does a heat pump installation cost?

Average price after the BUS grant is £3,000, whether you're replacing gas, oil, or LPG. The grant amount differs — £7,500 for gas, £9,000 for oil and LPG — but the final cost to homeowners comes out roughly the same because oil and LPG properties typically require additional work to remove the existing system. Enter your postcode above for a personalised estimate based on your home.

**Average based on recent Heat Geek installations. Your price depends on your property and system design.

What does "performance guaranteed" mean?

We guarantee your system's performance in writing, monitor it digitally, and fix it free if it underperforms.

Do you handle the BUS grant?

Yes. We apply on your behalf. The grant is subtracted from your price before you pay, so there's no paperwork for you.

Do I qualify for £9,000 or £7,500?

It depends on what you’re heating with now. Enter your postcode and we’ll tell you which rate applies to your home.
